As INTTRA’s CEO John Fay said recently, “The global shipping industry has reached a tipping point where digital shipping management is now a competitive necessity and INTTRA’s comprehensive platform is meeting their needs.

“One sign that the tipping point has been passed is the industry wide response to SOLAS VGM, the International Maritime Organization’s new requirement that every container have a verified gross mass (VGM) – or certified weight – in order to be loaded onto a ship. INTTRA led an industry initiative to develop common standards and express a common preference for a digital approach to compliance across the industry.
